Osmotisches Flüstern ist eine Werkreihe bestehend aus Tonobjekten in Form von einmal gebrannten, porösen Gefäßen. Nach dem Prinzip der sogenannten “Ollas” werden sie gepflanzt und mit Wasser befüllt, um die umliegenden Pflanzen zu bewässern. Es handelt sich um eine sehr alte, traditionelle Methode der Gartenbewässerung. In die Erde gepflanzt, sind sie nicht mehr sichtbar. Trotz ihrer geschlossenen Form bleiben sie ein offenes System, das die Wurzeln in ihrer Nähe nährt. Mehr als 50% Wasserverbrauch können eingespart werden.
Osmotic Whispering is a long-term series of works. It consists of clay objects in the form of vessels that have only been fired once and therefore retain their porosity. They are planted according to the principle of the so-called "ollas" and filled with water to irrigate the surrounding plants. This is a very old, traditional method of watering gardens. One of the things that interests me is the ambivalence of these objects. Sunk into the ground, they are no longer visible. Despite their closed form, they remain an open system that nourishes the roots in their vicinity. More than 50% water consumption can be saved.
